I'm putting together a network for a school project and I'm after some pretty basic advice as it's all in theory in my and head so I'm not too sure which would be best.
I have 3 seperate small office cabins in close proximity, my first idea was to just have one switch (24 port) in the main cabin and run cat5 cable to the devices in the other cabins, this option obviously requires a lot of cable running about. My alternative idea which I'm unsure about was to use powerline adapters in each cabin with smaller switches in each cabin to handle the devices. This calls for less cable but could it work as efficiently/at all?
