First Time Building a PC, How is this Build?

Is there anything important I am missing or should swap? Will this build work?

Any tutorials or advice on building the computer would be helpful as well.

 

[Rationale]

1. Full tower cases aren't needed for anything less than 3-way SLI or Crossfire.
2. You may as well upgrade to a blu-ray drive.
3. Why overkill the motherboard so much with a medium/high-range CPU and GPU?
4. The power supply is overkill.
