It depends on the computer that you bought. What are the system specs? And what monitor, keyboard, and mouse did you get? What OS did you get?

Show your new computer's specifications, that way we can tell. OS, Mouse and keyboard, and games don't matter.

That's a good build for $770. The only thing I would have changed is the PSU, as the CX series from Corsair aren't the best. Not that I am saying you should return it, but the CX series isn't the top notch quality you would expect from Corsair.

You made a bad decision in the power supply. The power supply you bought is entry-level, and low-quality. You had to buy a power supply from SeaSonic or Antec.

Everything else is completely fine.

If you already ordered it and it's onit's way, I would keep it. just kep in min that it probably won't last for 5+ years like a higher tire PSU, eg anything from SeaSonic, XFX, Antec, or Corsair AX, AXi, HX, and TX.

Yep. All those components will be weak in five years. So will all my components, and just about everyone else's. And really, that is a good build for ~$700.

If you put that Corsair CX under high current loads, then it might fail you in even 6 months.

It's only a 385W load for a 500W. It's only around 77%.

What does that mean(high current loads)? and will it really only last that long and will that mess up the parts?

I personally think that 6 months is an exaggeration. It should comfortably last you 3 years or so.
77% is not a very high load. Corsair say that their power supplies can supply their rated wattage almost indefinitely. Under practical conditions, I'd say 3 years.
High current loads means that the +12V rail which is usually the heaviest in a modern power supply, is used at most, or all of its capacity. It's not an official term, though.
The processor and graphics card will consume a max of 275 W under full load, but the power supply 12V rail is rated for 408W, so you should be fine. It only comes to around 2/3 of max load.

Based on what?

I once bought a Corsair CX PSU, the 430w one. It died within 6 months.

When did you buy that? Did you know that they released another model of the same PSU?

That build is way better than the PS4 and Xbox One combined.

The PS4 has a GPU which is equivalent of the GTX660 or R9 270, and it's 1.84 Teraflops.
The 280x is 3.2 Teraflops.
However, the graphics performance of the PS4 is better than the 660, because of its optimized code and dedicated hardware.
