I have an old socket AM2 m2npv-vm motherboard I'm trying to hook up. Is there a way to tell what bios version I have without the system being able to post? I have the serial number, UPC number, part number, and motherboard revision model. Unfortunately, none of these was able to give me a definite BIOS version with a google search.

You should determine the BIOS the motherboard shipped with. The BIOS version is the last 4 numbers on a very thin white sticker (bar code ) on the extreme right hand edge of the board, next to the SATA ports or the 24 pin ATX power.

I found that code, and it appears as though the motherboard has only 1 supported CPU as it is the very first version?!?! (http://support.asus.com/cpusupport/list.aspx?SLanguage=en&m=m2npv-vm) How can a motherboard version support only 1 CPU?
