Hello everyone,
Hope you can help me out here. I purchased this motherboard and this RAM 3 or 4 years ago, and never had an issue:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231303
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128416
I recently was building up a computer for my parents and decided to buy another stick of RAM for my own computer. I purchased:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820231310
Last night as I was playing DOTA 2, the game would just quit abruptly. After it doing this 3 or 4 times, I got the BSOD and the computer shutdown and restarted.
I pulled out the "newer" 4GB stick and things went back to normal.
I'm assuming I've screwed up by mixing speeds, voltages and latencys of the RAM... just wanted you guys to confirm.
Is there anything I can do to make this work or should I just exchange what I purchased for something that matches what I have currently in the computer?
Thanks for your help.
