I have an HP 6560b probook that was dropped off a ladder. We put a new screen on it, but everything that should be black on the screen is green. I tried reseating the video cable and then tried to replace it with another cable and still having the same issue. I even tried another lcd and same issue there as well. External monitors display just fine, but not the laptop display. The port for the video cable looks ok, but I guess it could still be the board, even though external is ok. Is there anything else I can try? Corporate won't pay to replace the motherboard, but I don't want to just part out this laptop.

Did you replace it with the correct screen? If it's not the connection, the only thing that can be is the screen was not the right one for the system. If it was the video card, the external monitor would show the same issue.

Is it fully green or just has a greenish tint? Did you check the video card options to make sure the colors are not changed manually?

greenish tint, its doing it in both Windows and the BIOS, so its not any Windows settings. Screen was purchased from HP. Same part number so it should be the same screen. They even sent two of them and both have the same issue.

Did you replace the full screen, backlight as well, or just the LCD? Something could have been knocked loose in the connections if two screens have the same issue, it may not the the LCD panel causing this. See if you can get the full screen and lid assembly and swap that out. If that does not fix the tint, there is something with the connections.
