First off you'll have a hard time finding the GTX 680 and the 3930K - both are either being discontinued or in the process of being discontinued. And you're wasting money buying extra thermal compound no matter what the budget is. Especially if you're using a liquid cooler. And that motherboard is mega overkill. You also don't have to buy everything Corsair makes either. They make a lot of great stuff but not everything is a home run.

If you want to do X79 right here's what I would suggest:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Core i7-4930K 3.4GHz 6-Core Processor ($565.98 @ SuperBiiz)

Motherboard: ASRock X79 Extreme9 ATX LGA2011 Motherboard ($339.99 @ SuperBiiz)

- Newer i7-4930K (though that will be replaced with the new i7-5XXX series later in August)
- Newer GTX 780TI
- Ditched the thermal compound
- Better liquid cooler that allows for full CPU - GPU loop
- Better RAM and faster speed for Ivy Bridge-E
- Less expensive non gimmick motherboard
- Switched the Flextronics PSU for a Super Flower one - much higher quality
