Hi, I have a Hyper X Genesis RAM running at 1600MHZ and 9-9-9-27.

I set that timing at bios on my B85 Killer by Asrock..

My question is how do i know what is a better timing than those above? Are my timing correct or maybe you guys can give me some info about RAM timing? Thank you very much.

The timings set by the manufacturer are best. If that's what Kingston lists as the proper timings for that RAM, use it. Clock cycles are not going to give you nearly as big a performance increase (if at all) as a higher frequency memory module would. The increase you see going from 1600MHz to say 2000MHz is far greater than that of going from 9-9-9-27 to something like 8-8-8-24.

Depends on the sticks, your mobo itself is rated up to 1600 so higher freqs may not work well, if your sticks are 1.5, there's probably a chance of increasing performance w/ tighter timings or if you can drop your CR (Command rate) from 2T or 2N to 1T or 1N

Believe that's a 1.65 set, so might try lowering the CR (command rate) to 1T or 1N, otherwise might try the timings at 8-9-9-27 - with either may have to take DRAM voltage to 1.7 whic I myself don't like to do, especially at 1600
