If you've read my previous posts you know that i'm a lifelong console gamer converting to pc gaming. I've been seeing a lot of people recommending that you build your own. I've been doing a lot of research and am beginning to lean in that direction. I recently came across elitegamingcomputers.com...Is this site any good? others like it? I was looking at their 2000$ pegasus build.

CPU - Intel Core i7-4770K 3.5 GHz
Motherboard - ASUS Z87 Sabertooth
CPU Fan - Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Video Card - EVGA GTX 780 Ti Classified
RAM - Kingston HyperX Blu 16GB
SSD - Crucial M500 240GB
HDD - Western Digital Blue 1TB
Case - CM Storm Stryker – Full Tower
Power Supply - Seasonic M12II-850
Optical Drive - Samsung 24x SATA DVD RW

Is this a sufficient build for ultra settings on most games with superb fps? (around 60 if not higher)(after all the research i've been doing, i'm assuming yes, but I'd like for someone to confirm this with me)
Also a lot of people say building your own is not hard, just watch some youtube vids. Is it really that simple? This will be my first build, i've never done this before. I have friends and even a family friend that can help me out if need be. About how long does it take to assemble a pc? Thanks for any help!

Takes around 5-7 hours I would say from start to finish and it's pretty easy, but I would have your family member come to help you for your first time and yes that computer will definitly play anything you throw at it at Ultra 60+ at 1080p heck it'll play those at 1440p at Ultra, and be able to run some 4k. That graphic card is beast, but if your simply playing at 1080p you won't have any problems what so ever.

Heres a benchmark, playing BF4 at 1440p and still acceptable FPS so yeah 1080p will be butter smooth.

Thanks for the response. Heck i'm gonna play this on my 55 inch LED smart tv so the graphics card will definitely be good. Yea I looked on a lot of sites that sell pre-builts and its just such a ripoff. I'm just gonna keep researching all there is to know about pc's, get some help from a family friend and make it happen. If anyone else has further suggestions or advice it'll be much appreciated.

I don't think you should get that build, not because it is bad, but because you can spend less money for better performance/price ratio. Go for a 4th generation Core i5 (i7 = for video software). Go for a GTX 760 or AMD's R9 270 = 290 (X version means higher CLOCK SPEEDS, doesn't have noticeable difference so get it if you want). Don't get into overclocking at this point because it is useless, you don't have to worry about it for about 1 - 3 year(s). Since you are getting different hardware, search motherboards and other parts at www.pcpartpicker.com. You can look at other people builds if you want. If you want to look at people talking about ~$XXXX PC builds youtube Austin Evans (he builds some of them himself and some have video footage of it playing modern games). Good Luck!

P.S./Update: You don't need 16 GB of RAM unless you are creating videos. Instead try to go for higher speeds for RAM. Get 8GB (2 4GB models is best) with speeds of 1600/1866/2133/2400/+. I would try to go for 1866 or 2133 but if you can't then stick with 1600 as there is not too much of a difference.

Thanks alex01230. The link to that site you gave is great. I'm really not too concerned about spending a bit more for something i may or may not use. Originally I was considering buying a 4 thousand pc from digital storm, until I was told how overpriced that was, So spending 2000 for a pc is so much better. However I will go with what you said about the RAM...the 8gb (2 4gb models). I've heard many times that the 16gb is overkill for gaming. I'll check out those yt vids as well.
