I decided to not go with a power-line due to bad wiring near my house.

(I am pretty sure we have bad wiring but I will check in with them and double check.)

How about an optical drive?

if there is room in the budget for more gpu then that would be the only thing i would change.

I would never use my Optical Drive.

I have a copy of Windows 8 on my flash drive.

How much extra are you talking about?

You could stretch to a 770 for $100 more but both that and the 760 are best in price-range cards, and would be excellent for gaming.

Depends on what settings you want - 770 will tackle higher settings easier, but you pay a premium...
