Hello everyone,

My EVGA GTX 460 SC recently died on me, with that being said I'm in the market for a new GPU.

I've had my eye on the GTX 660, 670, 680, 760, and 770. I'm just trying to determine which is going to be the best value for me, and would greatly appreciate any suggestions anyone has.

I'm not an ATI/AMD GPU fan, I like their processors, but I've always had issues with their GPUs. That being said, I'd highly prefer Nvidia unless someone can convince me otherwise.

I also highly prefer EVGA products, I like the quality and warranty.

Suggestions? Advice?

Thanks!

What is your processor? The newer AMD cards have mantle and directX 11.2. So if your processor isn't that strong Mantle will increase the performance a large margin since that is what it was designed to do.

How big is your budget?? You might as well go with 760 or the 770 or R9 270/280. Newer models are better.

I don't have a budget honestly, I'm just saving up for a card. So with that being said once I have a card in mind I'll work towards that goal, if that makes any sense. I would like to get one that I know will EASILY handle 1080p gaming for at least 3-4 years. I don't always play the latest and greatest games.

As for my CPU it's an AMD Phenom II X4 955 Black Edition. Looks like the same one that you have looking at your signature. My build and yours are actually very similar aside from brands.

If your build is similar to mine then either R9 270 or GTX 760 should be more than enough to play every game so far at 1080p. If you want something that lasts 3-5 years. Then the two cards above are the best choice.

I get ~50 FPS on BF4 ultra settings, 45-55 on Thief at high.

On another forum I use and asked pretty much the same question (trying to get more feedback from more than one community), I was also recommended the GTX 760. Guess I'll be looking into one of those.

Thanks for your suggestion, Lyphn.

Anyone else have any suggestions?
