maxwellmelon :
if 800 MHz is supported 4gb 800 would be better in my view then the loss of speed for the extra 2gb. even better would be to run two 4gb of the same 800mhz sticks(again if computer supports running at 800mhz)
Thanks a lot for your reply
I have a gigabyte ga-78lmt Mobo, it says in its specs that :
"Support for DDR3 1333+ (O.C.)/1066/800 MHz memory modules"
Would this mean that it supports its full speed? or does it need to be overclocked 1st ?
(it seems to work fine, but i have read from some people on this forum that the speed is reduced.
Im no expert so not sure what readings I should be checking )
Anymore of your or anyone's knowledge would be greatly appreciated
