If it was that easy, the whole forum would be earning pots of gold

That is extremely hard to do.

You have to define your prospective buyer. Gamer, business, low cost consumer...

Low cost consumer - you're competing with Walmart, trying to sell a $350PC. You might make $10.
Business - they will kill you with service requests at 2AM on a Friday night
Gamers - "Waaa...the LEDS are not the right shade of blue!"

Fixing and repairing will get you much farther along than trying to build and sell.

would it be possible? yes.

however is it very feasible? no.

there is quite a bit of competition out there and to make a quick buck you would need to be able to compete on both a price and customer service level. for someone just starting out this can be hard to do.

however... what you could possibly do is advertise yourself through craigslist or another medium as a pc builder. you could then help advise users about what parts to buy and charge a flat rate for assembly/your time. in this way you would have zero overhead and work would be on a per-contract basis.

@the OP - I personally doubt you'd get very far in any business using your Tom's handle because a lot of folks wold find it offensive.
