Are laptops regional?plz help

No laptops are not regional at all. You can use it anywhere. Things like the internet are not regional.

Your DVD player might refuse to play region coded DVD's that are not from your home region .
I believe when you set up the laptop that will happen automatically when you register your location and time .
If the laptop is used then the dvd region is possibly locked to region 1 , and dvd's you buy in Australia will refuse to play .
That should only affect dvd movie play back
Power connectors are different , and so is the charger . The US is 110/115 volt . Australia is 230V . You will need a new charger .
