New system...

Haswell 4770K @ 4.5GHz w/HD4600, 16GB Ram, Win7P
New Sceptre 40" HDTV
All HDTV additive processing is OFF. No film mode, auto-contrast, sharpness or any of that crap is enabled.

Using an HDMI cable, text is clear but odd, in that, depending where on the screen it is, it is blue or black. You can move the text around and it changes depending on location on the screen, but is very consistent with regards to what areas of the screen will produce blue or black text. In one application, the text color is intentionally red. This intentionally red text is almost unreadable. If I drag the application to the second screen, which is a typical PC monitor there is NO problem. If I leave the application on the HDTV and change the text to another color there is NO problem.

Troubleshooting efforts...

Using a VGA cable, text is no longer blue/black just horribly blurry. Application with intentional red color is perfectly clear and correct. I can't use this hardware connection, as I can't correct for the blurriness caused by the outdated VGA hardware.

My only solution is to use the HDMI cable and then move the application with the intentional red text to the second screen. The application is iZoptope's Ozone 5. This is an application that allow the user to use compression software that is frequency value dependent. Each of the four frequency ranges are indicated by a designated color...red, rust, green and blue.

This system is custom made for my recording studio. I purchased the HDTV for my main monitor, but did not anticipate this problem. Any help would be appreciated...thanks.
