For some stupid reason my CPU (AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition) ran for a few minutes without CPU fan enabled.

When I noticed that CPU temperature is around 90-95 Celcius I immediately shut down the computer.

I waited about an hour to be sure that it is cool again. Then I run it and now its temperature is around 37 C according to HWmonitor.

First thing I did was to enable CPU temperature alarm in BIOS.

Do you think my CPU is damaged?

How can I be sure that there is no damage on the CPU?

I need some relief.

Why does it have to be the MoBO? Intel has thermal protection and it would shut itself down....

If its still working, its not "Damaged" but the life expectancy may now be less.

Anyway, from my understanding your MAX operation temps shouldn't go above 70c. I am still going to say that if its still working, it isn't broken.

Well no its not damaged,i was testing that with a intel i7 4790k without no cpu cooler,it was hot but was not damaged if your planing on playing games without a cooler think again your games will lag since the cpu is overloaded with heat.
