I'd like your opinion on Simcity 5 for this machine, please

A friend of mine has a laptop with the following specs:
Core i3 3110M (2.40GHz), 6GB Memory, 500GB HDD, Intel HD Graphics 4000

He's been wanting Simcity 5, but I'm not sure that machine will run it reliably. May I have some advice/opinions on that? Thanks a lot!

Well, the i3 and 6 gigs of ram is fine. I have an optiplex 755, with 3 gigs of ram and a 2.33 ghz core 2 duo. Although, I have a gt 610 (40 dollar gpu) and I run it around 30 fps at low, and after doing some research your gpu will run it on low at 30 fps.

Well, the i3 and 6 gigs of ram is fine. I have an optiplex 755, with 3 gigs of ram and a 2.33 ghz core 2 duo. Although, I have a gt 610 (40 dollar gpu) and I run it around 30 fps at low, and after doing some research your gpu will run it on low at 30 fps.

Thanks very much for the response! I appreciate it. Do you find that performance acceptable (30 fps/low)? I've never played it so I have no idea what it will look like. He's not super demanding, I don't think; as long as the performance/graphics aren't horrible, he should be okay. ;-)
