I would say GTX 750 Ti as it is small quiet has low power consumption its powerful especially for its price $150 (AUD) as i do not know your specs this seems to suit you as its cheap and uses less power than a 570 so i would really think it works i recommend it but some people may say an AMD card but i don't like them as they get very hot and very loud.

A 750ti although a nice card, is not an upgrade from a gtx 570...

Thanks, yes a lot of people recommend this since it is 3 tiers above the 570. I have no preference for nVidia or AMD, so it this the best performance wise?

The AMD equivelent is the R9 280x, very similar in performance.

The next level above is the GTX 780 which is over budget, and the R9 290 which just gets in your budget but only the reference cooled models, which I wouldnt recommend as they are very loud and run very hot - However Asus do their DCU II version for £319.

Personally, I would go for the GTX 770 - its essentially a GTX 680 clocked higher with faster vram, which is no bad thing. Ebuyer are doing the MSI Gaming edition 770 for £229 with free delivery, which IMO is a good deal:
