Hello community! I need your help.

I have an AMD Radeon R9 280X graphics card.
I have multiple monitors:
1) An I-INC iH282 monitor, with HDMI connection.
2) An acer G215HV monitor, with a (sigh) VGA connection.

I was able to use these on my older computer, perfectly.
But I cannot seem to get these to play nice in my new computer.
The for the VGA monitor, I have adapters for both the DVI and mini displayport on my graphics card.

However, no matter what I seem to try, the acer monitor simply does not display correctly with this new video card. Instead, the text is blurry in the middle of the screen, as though it is trying to stretch. (This is with the DVI connection. The mini displayport doesn't seem to be able to display higher resolutions than 640x480.)

I tried following suggestions I'd found elsewhere regarding the "Catalyst control center" but none of them worked: anything in the middle of the screen on the acer is stretched a little bit, which is a lot worse than it sounds.

Any help would be welcome. Thanks.
