Help My PC Won't Post

Hey, I've recently built a new PC and it hasn't Posted. I am getting beep codes though i'm not very sure as to how they work. I've tested the monitor and cables. I've limited down the problem to either my graphics card, my VGA female to DVI male adapter or my motherboard. I have
-Zalman Z11 Plus
-MSI 97A-G43
-AMD FX
-XFX R7700
-One stick of Corsair Vengeance (8GB DDR3)
-TP-Link (Nic card)
-Corsair GS700
I get one repeated short beep and bios does not show up. Any help would be appreciated.

First of all, perform steps listed in this guide, it should get you to POST screen.

I also recommend counting exactly how many times your mobo beeeps and looking for that type of beeping in your mobo's manual. (that should give you a clue about the problem).

Thank you the problem was bad ram and a bad graphics card
