My current PC specs are: Intel Core i5 650 (3.2ghz) with integrated graphics, 6GB DDR3 RAM, Intel DH55HC board, and a 500GB Hard drive. I am planning to buy an AMD Radeon HD 7770 1GB GDDR5 graphics card. I plan to play games like Battlefield 3 and COD Black ops 2, GTA, Crysis 3, etc all on 720p.

Would the HD 7770 be a good choice for this? and what about my processor and RAM?

I have had a msi 7770 for about a year now with absolutely no problems. Your computer specs are fine and you shouldn't have a problem with any bottle necking from your processor, also the games you have listed should run just fine at 720p on ultra :)

I have Gigabyte 7770 1GB OC Edition in Crossfire config now. Before replacing a full HD monitor, I could throw most of the games on ULTRA at 1366x768 resolution. After replacing a full 1080p monitor, I need to turn down some graphics filters to low or off in the settings. It's a good card tho.
