So this is a build i am thinking of going with, after asking previously on this forum for help with parts, i came up with this one.
I am a complete novice when it comes to computer internals, especially building, and very nervous of things like overheating, does the cpu and motherboard match up etc etc?

so what I'm asking is will this work, do i need more cooling? (how do i know how much cooling) or do i need to change any parts to be more reliable, or improve the system, without changing the overall cost by much more than what is there.

Its mostly for gaming purposes, to run the likes of BF4, watch dogs, crysis, wow/diablo on max settings without any problems or need for upgrades for quite a while

This will get you maxed out in everything at 1080p for a long time. Good cooler on both the CPU and GPU, plenty of power to overclock, and kept all the peripherals and case, since those are personal preference. Don't think the sound card is really necessary though, but that's your call :)

unless you're doing high end multi tasking or video work then the i7 is not needed, an i5 will do you fine. Also go with 4th gen intel, not 3rd gen, i.e any cpu that starts with 4xxx. Match this to a h87 mobo so you can take advantage of SSD caching. If you want multi tasking and aren't going to OC then get a xeon instead. It's a higher quality i7 for cheaper.

There isn't much difference in performance between 120mm rad liquid and high-mid to high end air coolers. the 120mm rads are usually more loud too.

get a WD blue instead of the barracuda, it rocks the highest failure rates.

A 4gb 770 is mostly pointless, it only comes into play when in SLI at very high resolutions, and even then it BARELY makes a difference.

If you wait for 3 more days, z97 motherboard will be released into the UK market. They have an upgrade path to Broadwell but also work with Haswell cpu. The pricing will be similar to the z87 variety.
