This is what my local dealer recommended for me to upgrade my system. I asked him what would be good and reasonably fast compared to my old setup, and on a budget and would last me a reasonable time before needing upgrading again.

My old system is based on a gigabyte ga-m61vme-s2 mb with a amd athlon 64x2 4600 dual core cpu.

He recommended:

"Option 1
AMD FM2 6600k CPU with Graphics         £76.99
Gigabyte A55 Mother board                       £34.99
4GB DDR 3 memory                                        £30.00

Total                                   £141.98

Option 1 is better for gaming as it uses and integrated Radeon GPU

Option 2

AMD FX 4130 OEM                         £47.99
Gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3          £39.99
Hi End Spire CPU Cooler (needed)        £10.00
4GB DDR3                                £30.00

Total                                   £127.98

Option 2 is not very good for gaming but ok for normal online gaming. And
faster than option one in other ways as the CPU runs at 3.8Ghz with quad
cores."

Are these any good on a budget? Or would any of you more expert PC builders and upgraders recommend tweaking these or something different?
I don't play games but my grandson sometimes likes to play online games when he visits.

Thanks,
Wekslap.

If you wanrt an ace gaming pc cheap in the u.k. you watch Ebay until Novatech sell off i5 4430/ 4440 cpu's for £99 inc post and 60 day warranty. then you buy a cheap H87 board etc.All 1333/1600 Ram can be found and stick matched at any cex store for £3 a gig.
