Should I use wifi pci over wifi usb?

I want to get a wifi pci (I hate ethernet cable). I saw this

I am not sure which one to get. I have Corsair 450D case with Asus Maximum vi Hero. Is it worth to upgrade to MB to vi Formula, so I do not need to buy any of those? Are it is not worth it? Which wifi pci is the best for me? My wifi is AT&T Max (12Mbps) I am not sure about the speed or anything. Please help, ty

The problem with choosing a wireless card over USB is that it sits low down near the floor if the case is on the floor, and that's not an ideal place to get a good wireless signal around the house.

With a USB one, some of them come with a desktop extender or you can buy one. It effectively extends the USB port to the top of your desk, in to which you can plug the WiFi adapter, giving you a much better signal than a PCI card is likely to give you.

However, you should only use wireless where wired connection is not possible or practical. A wired connection is always going to be faster, more reliable and more stable. Plus, you'll need to use a wired connection anyway if you want to make any wireless-related changes in your router's configuration utility.

Do you think I should get Asus Maximum vi Formula? It has wifi and bluetooth...
