Due to a recent discussion on Reddit, I have gone from using adblocks whitelist, only allowing ads that I want to see, to using a black list, only removing ads that I do not want.

I now have ads enabled on Toms, currently none in the blacklist.

Not that I am going to black list Toms over this, I just wanted to bring up an ad that I saw in an article, flashing green run diagnosis ad, typically crapware or scareware you see on other sites.

Now the reason that this annoyed me, apart from the horrible flashing colours and cheapness of the ad, was that is seemed like a typical scareware ad 'you are running low on disk space click here'.

As a Tech website and a forum that resolves peoples problems with technology, I these types of ads should be removed. I have not used systweak and cannot speak for it, but any ads I see like that I will never install, and only clicked the link to see what was at the end of the rainbow.

Now I know that these ads are randomised and probably all run by some company, but you would think that they would ensure the ads are of quality. Thankfully this is the only time in the last month I have come across one of these.

Well now. That's pretty obnoxious as ads go. Let me check in with the ad guys and see if we can get that addressed.
Thanks for the heads-up on this. And thanks for keeping us off the blacklist. :)
