if the head on my 2005 is busted do I need another engine

It may be cheaper if you can find a decent head from a junk yard to replace yours.

just have a head job done on it unless the steam from the bad head cut the block then it may need milling to correct that so the gasket will seal.. but if its just a mater of replacing the head just do that

Like the above posters stated is call a scrap yard for a head. It shouldn't be too much money. Heads at my local scrap yard go for 170 dollars for domestic cars. If you install it yourself then it should be under $1000 if the head is in good shape.
