I'm thinking about picking up the PNY GTX 780 3G OC today to replace my HD7950 4GB. Currently I have 3 monitors (2 - 1920x1080 & 1 - 1280x1024). I assume that the new card will handle them just fine since it's more powerful, but I wanted to verify.

I only run games on a single 1080p monitor and watch live streams/youtube on the other 1080p monitor with a browser open on the small monitor.

On a side note, I'm upgrading my 7 year old PSU as well and just want to make sure it'll be compatible since I'm not really familiar with how rails work.

Solution
Depends on the connectors on the card, you should have two monitors with DVI connection and one with HDMI, if the small monitor runs VGA you should be able to get a DVI to VGA adapter, or it might be in the package.

For the PSU you should really get another one than the HIVE, look at this tier list for psu's:
http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-1804779/power-supply-unit-tier-list.html

It's a Tier three, you should be able to get a higher tiered one (= better quality) for the same amount of money, my recommendation would be this:
http://pcpartpicker.com/part/xfx-power-supply-p1650snlb9
You would be able to run the 780 + something like a OC i7 4770k or a OC 8350 cpu just fine on this, the 100w less isn't really a limitation since...

Oh my bad!
Yes on the Nvidia Cards you'll probably still need the displayport for x3 displays, Only the AMD R9 series supports two DVI's in a x3 setup.

Sorry for this misunderstanding :)
