Hey there,

I was suddenly hit by a problem, and I cannot figure out the cause. My desktop computer was working fine the last I had it on, and the monitor was fine and dandy. I switch it on this morning and I am getting a no signal message from the monitor. The tower is working (at least I presume it is, given the usual noise).

I cannot envisage what the problem is and from what I know nothing has changed (nor did I change anything, and I am the only one to physically access this computer).

I am at a loss.

"given the usual noise"
--> But! we do need to know a bit more on this

Other quick tests:
- recheck ALL cables and connections and monitor source settings
- try plugging something else into the monitor
- connect another monitor, if available, to your PC
- or - connect your PC to a TV (most newer gfx cards / motherboards have HDMI adapters or connectors.
