Can I use a DVI-D ( dual link ) to VGA adapter in DVI-I ( dual link ) port in a graphics card, to connect the monitor (VGA)

My monitor ( Hp w1707, 1440X900 ) has a VGA cable, and the Graphics card's connectivity is one DVI-D ( dual link ) , one DVI-I ( dual link ) and one HDMI output

I m thinking to use a DVI-D to VGA adapter with the DVI-I output of the GFX card to connect my monitor. Is it possible?

Yes it is. All of the graphics card comes with DVI-D and DVI-I (where D = digital and I = both digital and analog signals). As long as your DVI cable is the right slot the DVI to VGA adapter is fine.
