Is a gtx 780 6GB better worth it than a 3GB version?

So I was looking for a graphics card to suit my gaming needs and I decided to go for the NVIDIA GTX 780 from EVGA. I will only use one monitor at a resolution of 1680 by 1050 (60Hz refresh rate) so should I pay an extra 10 bucks for the 6 GB version? There was a deal and it may even be locked at that price so with one display I don't know if I can get more performance out of a single 780. Maybe in the future I could get a multi-monitor setup but I feel that 6GB is a bit too overkill. What do you guys think?

Is it worth it for one monitor?
How much would the extra 3GB affect performance if I play games on ultra an the highest settings with texture?

Yeah, that was the word, but I will just get one of Intel's haswell refresh processors, specifically either the i5 4690k or i7 4790k. The intel z97 chipsets on mobos are compatible with 5th gen processors if I ever choose to upgrade again, but either way I will build with whatever I have in the summer. Living in Canada makes everything come a lot later than in the US and a lot more expensive. -_-

Truth is that it's on sale or something...the GTX780 3GB is at a normal price. Usually an extra 3 GB should result in at least 100 bucks extra...but I donnoe, I'm getting prices from a different retailer, not EVGA.

I'm only looking to get the 780 because I may upgrade my monitor real soon and a 770 is great too, but I personally think I can wait for the 800 series GPUs. It will take some time because I plan to build my pc in the summer where the new Intel 5th gen CPUS will come and I can't wait.
