Howdy, folks, I'm new around these parts, and I'm looking for some advice before I start buying things. Here is a link to the system that I just 'built' yesterday.

I've not actually ordered any of it yet. I'm open to any suggestions on any aspect of it. I'm been involved with PCs for ages, but I've never actually done a ground up build before.

Also, I currently have an Alienware Andormeda R5 in perfect condition with
gtx 660ti
i5-2320 @ 3.00 ghz
8gb ram
1TB HDD

I'm thinking I should be able to get $600 or so for it. Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for any help/advice!

I'll be bringing the processor to at least 4.0 ghz, and I'm not sure on the GPU. I'm sure I'll bump it up a ways, but I'm not planning on anything too major for it.

You do not need water cooling then. I have a test bench with a i5 3570 running with a Cooler Master 212 EVO and its overclocked to 4.4 GHZ and the max temp is 55 Celsius on Load.

Wow, that's not bad at all. The water cooling might be overkill, but it's in a dusty environment, and I worry about heat. I don't mind the extra money for the piece of mind.

Alright its you're call! I've just been around with PC's for quite some time and I'm only 14! Me and my cousin run a computer business where we build, fix, test and everything else. I am building my first PC this summer so I'm excited!
