Currently my desktop is connected to my monitor via a DisplayPort cable.
I understand that my GPU also has a HDMI out port.
My HDTV is in a bedroom next to my bedroom so I was planning to run a long HDMI cable from my desktop to the HDTV.
Is it plug and play meaning I just turn off the monitor in my bedroom and I will get the signal on my HDTV without changing nvidia settings? Will I get sound?
Also does my GPU output 2 signals at the same time (both HDMI and DisplayPort) if I don't turn off my monitor? Does this effect GPU performance?
If its not plug and play then do I have to manually have to change any setting in Nvidia? If so which settings?
