Help! DVI monitor setup, black bars around screen

Okay, so i recently bought a second monitor. My graphics card only has 1 HDMI port and 2 DVI ports. My monitors are identical ASUS V248's, which have hdmi and dvi ports.

I had to hook one up with an HDMI cable, and the other with an HDMI to DVI cable, since i only have one hdmi port in my card. My monitor running from the HDMI to DVI cable has some serious black bars going on around the screen region. Is this simply because of the type of cable? I updated drivers to most recent, and everything is up to date. I just want these annoying bars gone.
