I have a MSI Radeon 6850-PM2D1GD5 Dual Fan graphics card and i need help overclocking. I have MSI Afterburner installed but i aint sure what to set it to. I have been told my graphics card is bottle necked as i only have a 2.8 dual core processor does this mean overclocking wont work?. I am just trying to get a few more fps out of a game i play to try reduce lag issues.

Its a Intel G840 2.8 Intel Sandy Bridge 1155. I checked around and people saying that series of CPU is locked? i also seen a few people mention FSB as i have no multiplier in the bios so i aint sure if theres a way to overclock the CPU with this setup. I get around 40 temp idle on the CPU as the case has 5 fans x 2 fans on the GPU x PSU. At the moment i have the bios set to Performance but was wondering if it could go up to maybe 3.0 or 3.1 with my temps etc.
