Hello,

I have one old office pc with Intel 82945G Express Chipset Family that use 2x1GB DDR2 667Mhz. I already check in www.Intel.com that mentioned motherboard support up to 667Mhz Ram but the question here is what will happen if i replace existing 667Mhz with new 800Mhz. Probably will be limited to 667Mhz and not worth the cost but please advice here.

Thanks in advance

It would be limited to 667Mhz. There's a chance you could overclock it back up to 800Mhz, but it's probably not worth it, considering depending on where you buy it a solid amount of DDR2 RAM (4-8GB), which you'd need for it to be a worthwhile upgrade, would cost as much as a new motherboard.
