Most affordable external dock, perhaps. I've got two docks that go in 5.25" bays, and don't even need a USB cable.

I have an eSATA dock that was fairly cheap (~$25), and it is faster than a USB 3.0 dock. I suppose the benefit here is the USB 3.0 interface and the 6TB compatibility.
