I am buying a computer meant for making games and playing games alike. Is this good enough?

I think you should stick to the Sapphire models of GPU's. They tend to have a pretty good performing side and clock side giving you an extra edge to gaming.
Your setup is pricey but will be futureproof with anything you throw at it :)

Price is going to be no issue :) . And I did pick a sapphire R9 295x lol

Believe me you'll be flying through colors with this setup. No problems here at all :)
