PS4 & PC 7.1 Virtual Surround Headset (no DDL)

Hi all,

I've been trying to find a decent 7.1 Dolby surround headset that is compatible with both PC & PS4, but I'm having a little trouble finding the best headset. I came across the PX4/5's from turtlebeach but they require you to have a Dolby Digital Live enabled sound card in the PC, which I don't have. I'm running sound on my PC from my motherboard (MSI Z87 G45)

Does anyone have any good recommendations on a good headset that will work on both systems, running 7.1 on each?

Hi there.

I am guessing you have a Realtek sound chip?

I ordered the PX4 without realising that it needed a DDL enable chipset, however there are modded drivers for the chipset that do enable DDL.

If you are using windows 7 it means running in test mode so you don't have to boot up windows in developer mode - not ideal but it does work.
