Asus GTX 760 frame massive frame drops/crashing on CS:GO on 1080p monitor.

Recently built a new PC and just installed my new video card (GTX 760) as well as got a new monitor (Asus VS247h 21"). Launched CS:GO at recommended settings by the card manufacturer, got lag. Decreased resolution and settings continued to get lag, doesn't seem like the GPU, Memory, or CPU were stressed by the game either. OS Windows 8.1

It's in my Hard Drive, my SSD isn't being used for anything at the moment.

Try having one of the games on the SSD and see if it makes a difference.

The SSD will only help decrease load times by about 1.5 to 3x of the initial game and levels (or entering dungeons, buildings in Skyrim). It has no affect on the frame rate.

I understand that, if the hard drive is the problem though, it would create stuttering in the game wouldn't it though?

1) MAIN CHIPSET driver from motherboard site, and

2) NVIDIA drivers from NVidia?

By "lag" do you mean the frame rate, stutter or what? And can you give an example so we can compare to online scores?

Vanilla SKYRIM should average roughly 100FPS (though you have to FORCE VSYNC off in the NVidia Control Panel-> Manage 3D Settings... or it locks to 60FPS):

I've done all of this and put CS:GO on my SSD, I play with around 10-16 FPS top in combat/moving. When look straight at a wall I can catch 200+ FPS in CS:GO(the last sentence is meant to be useless info).

I've now switched my OS onto my SSD and moved most programs over. Checked my Graphics Card and it was secure (inside the case), and also re-installed all drivers with their latest versions. Still getting horrid FPS. This is in all newer games I believe, the only thing I know I can play is GMod & CS:S with 200+ FPS.

Don't take this the wrong way, but how are you connecting your monitor to your computer? Is it plugged into the motherboard? or the graphics card? (I'm just checking not sure if it would really affect what is given on the sheet or not.)

It's plugged into the graphics card, when plugged into the motherboard my monitor won't receive anything.

I'm stumped.
I want to say a Graphics issue but you get 200+ FPS at times.

*Get 3DMark2001se and run the default demo and post your score. I have a slightly better graphics card so you should get perhaps 80% of my score. I'll run and update or post below...

I'd expect you to get 50,000 or better with a GTX760. Mine is a GTX680 (same as GTX770) and i7-3770K.

When you use integrated graphics, in cs:go low graphics do you get more frames? (I'm pretty much running out of ideas as well)

Alright seems that the slot I had the card in was faulty along with the first, switched to the third and last slot and it works. Hate life. Anyway thanks for your guy's help and all.
