HDD not Working

I have intel original motherboard, and i have two HDD . one is 80 Gb and second one is 500 Gb.. when i pulg only 8 gb hdd is working fine and when i plug only 500 gb its not working,, even 500 Hdd is new and working fine in another system.......i want to use my 500 gb hdd as secondary hdd because i have win 7 installed in my 80 gb's hdd so plz suggest me what is to be done ??

When you say "Not working" do you mean it wont load windows?

You said that the 80 gb hdd has windows 7 installed on it: does the 500 gb hdd have any OS installed?

sorry I don't know what you mean:

1) There is no OS installed in the 500 GB HDD

or

2) There is an OS installed in the 500 GB HDD but it doesn't work with your computer ?

no i have already 80 gb's hdd which have win 7 os i want use my 500 gb hdd as secondary hdd only for data....

So you're saying that it doesn't work when you connect only your 500 gb hdd to the computer?

If the 500 HDD doesn't have an OS on it and the 80 HDD with the OS is disconnected, how will the computer run?

To be more precise, connect both the 80 GB and the 500 GB HDD at the same time and then boot up

Hopefully it will work then
