Hey guys, this is my first post for this forum, even though I have been using this website for years for help. Anyway, I am usually able to figure a lot of things out myself but this is something that I feel that is pretty neck and neck and I was hoping to get a second opinion.

So, currently, I have two MSI Twin Frozrs (GTX 680 4gb) they're actually pretty powerful. Recently, after building my brother's computer, I took notice in my brothers GTX 770 and realized that just one of them did a good job. The reason why I would like to have three is because its actually pretty cost efficient.

Now here's the kicker. I run Nvidia surround due to my three monitor setup, so gaming, can sometimes run a bit hot and even sometimes laggy. (Even though I have a total of 8GB vram [and yes I know it doesn't work that way]) I was just wondering what SLI setup would be better, the two 680 or 3 770. Also, I have a 1200watt Corsair AX1200 power supply, will that be enough? Thank you guys for taking the time out to read this post. I appreciate it.

THE FIRST LINK IS THE GTX 680 AND THE SPEC I HAVE, SECOND IS THE 770 I AM INTERESTED IN:

VRam doesn't really matter in the situation. A GTX 770 is a suped up GTX 680 and your asking which is more powerful the 2x 680s or 3x 770s.. Obviously its the 770s. Also that price on BestBuy is overpriced especially for a reference cooler, find one on newegg with a non-reference cooler, they are roughly $340-360. The 680 you linked us on newegg has MSI's old cooler which won't cool so great. MSI TF 4 does a much better job

Thank you so much for getting back to me. However, although the one on best buy is over priced, will three of those particular GPU's be better than the older MSI models I have? The reason why I ask is because I actually can get a discount on the ones at bestbuy. So i figured it would be worth it :p

Na not really.. unless your gaming at 4K. 3 GTX 770s will outperform 3 GTX 680s no doubt, but having 3 in general is unnecessary. Not to mention the ones at besbuy running in 3x sli will be complete utter hell. Sling cards increase all the cards' overall temperature under load by quite alot and one the ones at bestbuy are reference model which means even higher temps. I would refrain from buying that much less SLing it

Okay thank you for all your help my man. I guess it would be better to run 3 monitors for ultra graphic gaming on ONE Gtx Titan opposed to 3 gtx 770 then?

No. For 3 monitors 3x GTX 770s would be a better choice than a titan. Hell even 2x GTX 780s would be a better option
