Hi all

I am an everyday laptop user, but not a gamer and need a new machine, but with all the discussions I have read re CPU/RAM I am really confused :??: about what to go for.

I do want something that is always speedy and multifunctional, but I don't run any high end graphics or other programmes.

I have been looking at Core i5 4th/5rd generation CPU's, and 8gb RAM but do I NEED these for the usage on my machine?

My laptaop is used for a minimum of 4 hours every day for;
* surfing, emailing, social networking etc,
* storage of my movies, TV show, music, calibre ebook library,
* watching movies/tv, listening to music,
* using microsoft works for various documents (office would be preferred except for the huge cost).

PLEASE HELP!!! :bounce:

:) Thanks y'all

The mobile i5's are dual core with hyperthreading. For your needs, they are quite suitable. They are not as powerful as a desktop i5. I have an older sandy bridge i5 2430m in my laptop. It has served me well.
