Hey guys,

I wanted to uild my own Computer for a long time and finally I decided to do it.

Usage: I'll be using this PC mostly to play games like Assassin's Creed 4, Planetside 2 and other similar games. I'm also gonna do some light weight video editing and programming in Eclipse. I definitely want to overclock this system.

I researched for about 3 months now and that's what I came up with:

Motherboard: MSI Z87-G45 Gaming
CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K
Graphics card: ASUS GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 DirectCU II OC, GeForce GTX 760
RAM: G.Skill RipJawsX DIMM Kit 8GB
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.14 2TB
SSD: Crucial M500 120GB
Optical Drive: Samsung SH-224DB
PSU: Sea Sonic S12II-620Bronze 620W ATX 2.2
CPU-Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
Case: Cooler Master N600 mit Sichtfenster
OS: Microsoft: Windows 8.1 64Bit

The price for the system as it is right now is 940,13€. I'd like to reduce that price a little bit without loosing a lot of performance.

If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Hey,

You don't need a 620w PSU for that system. Although I have that PSU and like it a lot :p
A 500w or 550w would do and save you some $. XFX, EVGA, Antec and Seasonic have good PSUs in the 550w range. If you plan to SLI later a 750w PSU is the minimum.

I see here on newegg some of the r9 280's and 770's are maybe $20 more than the 760, worth an upgrade I think.

Other than that your build looks great ;)

Would a price of 70€ more for a GTX 770 be ok? I mean is the performance gain worth 70€?

Thanks for the advice with the PSU. I chose the 620W one because I thought I could use it for SLI. I'll get a 520W PSU.

Well, I don't think so if it's that much more.

You might get 10-20 fps more in games with it. If that's worth it to you then you can get it, but you will be around 40+ fps in most games with the 760.
How are the r9 280's prices compared to it? even more? hehe

I prefer to go with Nvidia, because I can get Watch Dogs for free.
That adds another 60€ to the value of either of the Nvidia cards.

The price for the R9 280 is actually slightly under the GTX 760.
Does AMD bundle their cards with any interesting games?

Btw. the ac4 test doesn't say anything about the GTX 760

Every AMD card I've bought is bundled with 1, 2 or even 3 games lol. :p I'm sure they would have some bundled.

And yes I know the AC4 doesn't have your GPU, but, if you are getting 50 FPS with an r9 270, expect to get 10 or 15FPS more with a 760 or higher. I don't know about you, but 60fps is plenty for me, I'm usually happy with 40 :)

If you can find the r9 280 with some games I would do it.

3 free games xD , though I admit I don't see WatchDogs in the list of games they offer :(

I'm going to go with the ASUS GTX760-DC2OC-2GD5 DirectCU II OC, which is an overclocked Nvidia Geforce GTX 760.
I might go SLI in a couple years.
The list of games that AMD offers is not very appealing to me, I'd rather have Watch Dogs, than 3 games I don't really like.

With the smaller PSU, the overall price is at 934,09€, wich is pretty nice.

Thanks for your help
