windows 7 ultimate audio driver deleted

windows 7 ultimate audio driver was accidentally deleted...pc is hp compaq dc7800...cannot find a driver for windows 7 ultimate from the hp website...tried almost every driver for other o/s that they had on there and none of them where "supported by the hardware" or "supported by the operating system" please help

i just tried that and it still said that its not supported by the hardware...any other suggestions? thanks for the help

Open the device manager.. choose the audio driver with the exclamation mark, right click it and go to properties, Then go to the details tab, from there post the hardware id .... then we can check for any specific driver available to your windows version...

when i go to device manager there is no audio driver with an exclamation point...only keyboard, mouse, monitor, and owner-pc with an exclamation point.
