Need Advice on Sapphire R9 280X TOXIC vs. MSI GTX 770 Lighting

Both are nearly the same price in my country, any tips on which one should i get? i currently have a MSI 560ti twin fazor, and i had a fan failure with it!
I wont be upgrading in 3 ~ 4 years to come!
Please tell me why you choose X.

Both cards are equally good at 1080p. They trade blows depending on the games. At 1440p the R9 280X will pull ahead. Personally, i leaning toward the R9 280X black plate than the gtx 770 lightning one.

SAPPHIRE TRI-X R9 290 4GB GDDR5 is 35% more money, and its the cheapest one i found

In performance the R280x is slightly better, but personally I like more MSI for support and experience. Even, my GTX 680 Lightning is on RAM process because after 2 years is failing, but even that, I would not change to MSI as 1st option for hardware.

Personally (again) nvidia is my preferred brand for GPUs, so, I prefer stay with an old good one that try a new one.

The SAPPHIRE TRI-X R9 290 is a decent R9 290 and competes with GTX 780 but of course the R9 280X and GTX 770 are ok with 1080p.

Well that benchmark comparison is comparing between a normal gtx 770 and a normal r9 280x =\
and i am leaning towards the 280x since i've never tried an ati card before

btw one more question, which has a better cooling and less noise?

Cooling will be the same. Technically the R9 280X out of the box is cooler since GTX 770 will have GPU 2.0 boost activated. When both overclocked, they will perform and cool roughly the same. Noise depends on what cooler you have. Most dual fan coolers produce a similar range of decibels.
