I am trying to decide on a few different video cards for my PC. It is between a Zotac GeForce GT640 and a EVGA GeForce GT650. My question is, on the GT640, would the 64-bit interface bottleneck the GDDR5 memory or would I even notice a difference between the GT640 and GT650 (both with 2GB of GDDR5 RAM)?

I'm trying to keep it as cheap as possible but these are both within my budget. Of course, if I can save $30-$40 and still be happy with it I want to take that opportunity. I'm currently running a 450W Thermaltake PSU, but have 850W that is waiting to be warrantied (also thermaltake). Just in case anyone needed to know that. If you need anymore info let me know.

What is your budget? Honestly if you are looking at a $100 refurbed GTX650 you should be looking at a GTX750 instead for $10-$20 more. To be honest if you can stretch your budget even more you can look at a GTX750Ti ($130-$150) or an AMD 265 ($150).

For a little bit more money you can get a much better card. Also, in regard to your memory bus size, sure 128bit is wider than 64bit, but that is all relative related to how fast the vRAM is and the over all performance of the card. Always look at performance reviews to guide you. Pay attention to the games you play more and the requirements of the card. A Thermaltake 450W should do fine with any of the cards listed above. The AMD265 requires a 500W, but you should be fine if you have a PCI-E connector on your PSU.

Thanks! I'll probably wait it out and stretch a little bit then. What I have now is getting me by with lower performance settings on my games.
