Hi folks,

I'm looking to finally get a gaming rig with a budget up to $900 (flexible I guess if there's good reason for it) monitor included (but not OS/keyboard/mouse).

Approximate Purchase Date: this month.
Budget Range: 850-950
System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, programming (visual studio mainly), HD movies.
Are you buying a monitor: Yes
Do you need to buy OS: No
Preferred Website(s) for Parts: I'd like to keep it to newegg only since I don't live in the states and I'd rather have to pick up a single shipment.
Parts Preferences: No real preference.
Overclocking: Maybe, most likely not.
Your Monitor Resolution: 1920x1080 preferred.

Games I currently play are FarCry 3, Diablo 3, Bioshock Infinite. Would like to be able to play to-be-released games in decent settings.

Thanks in advance!

jaraldo's build is almost perfect. Here are a few tweak to that to get the price down. I took out the disc drive completely because it is usually unnecessary and could easily be added later.

Thanks ! I was just changing that lol. :p

I looked over it and said "wtf is this 1866 ram doing on a board that only allows 1600..." musta gone cross-eyed for a sec xD

Also I'm not sure on that sapphire anymore
r9 280x newegg comparison

After some reading the Asus are quieter and the gigabye have a 3 year warranty vs 2 on the sapphire. Maybe someone can comment on the sapphire?

Edit: Because CTurbo lower the price enough, I'd get the Asus. I usually throw in an optical drive just because some people don't know how to do the USB drivers :p
