Anyone here have the HIS IceQ OC Radeon R9 280 3GB Graphics Card. If so, what are your thoughts and experiences with it? How long did you have it? Can it handle Ultra Settings with high end games like Watch dogs, Tomb Raider and Battlefield 4 in1080p?What were your Fps and general settings for such games? Did you receive it as DOA in the mail? How are the temps on full load? Was playing games a hassle in terms of the drivers? Thanks!

Go with the 7970!
It gives me ultra settings on BF4 with 60 FPS.
The max temp its gotten to on full load is 70, but it usually stays around 60 :)

The 280 ad 280X are rebranded versions of the 7970. They run cooler and are faster and more efficient. @OP, I would advise you to get an Asus Direct CUII or a MSI Twin Frozr Gaming card as they run coolest and are the highest quality out of all the cards out there.
MSI:

By the 7970 I meant the Gigabyte version. It is factory over clocked and uses a special cooling system which is efficient. The 280x is a rebranded 7970, yes, but it brings nothing new to the table. BUT, the 7970 drivers are much MUCH more powerful than those of the 280x.
That is why I suggest the Gigabyte OC 7970.

PS: They are not faster, nor cooler, where are you getting your info from??
Go with the Gigabyte OC 7970

Actually there is no way drivers are extremely more powerful. The drivers for the 280X are newer and have a different architecture. They are cooler if you get the MSI or Asus versions. I meant that the OC versions are faster. I get my info from benchmarks and personal experience. Where are you getting your info from?

You clearly said they run faster....
I'm getting my info from first hand experience. I have most of the R9 series and all the 7000 series.
Between the 7970 and 280x, the 7970 takes it.

Thanks
