Pretty much im getting a new cpu for my computer, i want to know if this CPU would be capable of running games like Arma 2, Arma 3, Dayz, Battlefield games on high - ultra with these:

AMD XFX R9 280x 3gb
8gb 1333mhz

im also getting a new mobo which is the Intel R.O.G Z97.

Lemmie know if im leaving anything out please!

What is the price difference with the 3570? Where I live it is roughly a 10$ difference
I have the 3570 and it is awesome. You get the extra 0.2 ghz over the current 3470. That last clock kick is what you need to boost your fps to playable levels on ultra. The k edition overclocks nicely to above 4.0 if you are into overclocking.

Get the highest clocked i5 you can afford, that is my advice. For gaming that is what you need.

Edit: from a bit of googling I saw the board you are choosing. It is a very good board. It reads up to 32 GB ram, pcie 3.0 etc... But if you do not have the money to buy a very good cpu or to get 32 GB of ram anyway. I would advise you to go for a cheaper board, and add that money to the cpu. 2 slots board with 16 GB ram should be fine for all your games for the coming 3 years. But it would be a shame to choke on 20 pounds for a better cpu with a board that good (unless I googled the wrong board :p)
