(FM2+ MOBO)

Okay, so I'm upgrading from a A6-5400K CPU, and I wanted to know which one of those two CPUs would be the better upgrade? If I got the 760k ($78), couldn't I just OC and get speed of the 7850k? or should I just spend the $170 get the 7850k? I don't need an iGPU seeing as how I'm getting an R9 series card soon. Or does AMD have a CPU solution with the 7850 power without the igpu, keeping the costs down?

If you don't need IGP then the 760k is the smart purchase, but a budget of $170 could pretty much buy you a FX6300 + new motherboard

In answer to your second question, no there are no newer 'kaveri' models without the IGP

There is no difference between the Trinity/Richland cores, so ...

You can save $10 by choosing the Athlon X4 750K.

What are some models? and combos that would cost $160-170? Does Asus or any manufacturer offer trade-ins? I have an A88X-PRO, any mobo with all the same bells and whistles as this one?

It is clocked higher, but on the CPU side, Richland and Trinity are identical. All the Richland improvements were on the GPU side for the APU's.

Alright, thanks man. Since it's the same CPU just clocked higher.. I'll just over clock it up. Thanks for the help and saving me a bunch of money.
